The Flík app is designed for creative knitters who want to customize or resize patterns effortlessly. It simplifies the process for knitters by enabling them to adjust existing designs to use different yarn weights or create garments from scratch by calculating cast-on stitches with ease. Not only that, but it allows you to save and organize all of your calculations and notes into projects.

A little bit about our launch party

To celebrate the official launch of Flík, we hosted a party at our headquarters and invited the local knitting community, friends, family, and enthusiasts to a special launch party at the end of January.

It was a great turnout and we were happy to spend the evening chatting about knitting, entrepreneurship, and more. 

What’s next for Flík? 

At the end of December 2024, we received The Icelandic Technology Development fund from Rannís to further develop our app and build new features. 

This grant will enable us to build: 

• Improved iPhone app with new features for customization and project management.

• A web application, so you can enjoy Flík’s tools beyond your iPhone.

• A color work motif designer, allowing you to create and preview intricate designs.

• Tools to shape color work motifs directly onto different types of garments.
